Welcome to GeoCash. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

2. Data We Collect

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together follows:

  • Identity Data: includes first name, last name, username or similar identifier (via Google Login).
  • Contact Data: includes email address.
  • Location Data: includes GPS coordinates (Latitude/Longitude) ONLY when you explicitly grant permission to tag a transaction location.

3. Google User Data (Sensitive Scopes)

GeoCash requires access to your Google Sheets via the ../auth/spreadsheets scope. Here is how we use this data:

  • We use this access solely to read and write financial transaction records that you explicitly create within the application.
  • We DO NOT store your financial data on our servers. Your data remains in your personal Google Spreadsheet (BYOD - Bring Your Own Data model).
  • We DO NOT share, sell, or transfer your Google User Data to third-party AI models or advertising platforms.
  • The App's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. How We Store Data

GeoCash operates on a serverless/client-side architecture regarding your sensitive data. Your Google Spreadsheet ID is stored locally on your device (Local Storage) or encrypted session. We do not maintain a central database of your transaction history.
